El cumplimiento regulatorio describe el objetivo que aspiran corporaciones, empresas o agencias publicas en sus esfuerzos para asegurar que su procesos, productos, servicios y personal sea capaz de cumplir con las exigencias de leyes relevantes y regulaciones.

Debido al incremento del numero de regulaciones para la transparencia de operaciones, las organizaciones estan incrementalmente adoptando el uso de conjuntos de controles de cumplimiento consolidados y armonizados. Esta estrategia es usada para asegurar que todos los requerimientos de gobierno y normas-estandares internacionales necesariamente sean cumplidos sin innecesaria duplicacion de esfuerzos y gastos de recursos.
